A new "Purple Girl" watercolor tag for #onelittletag

Hello my friends!
Well, this has been another busy week (some of it involving plumbers!) and I haven't had a change to finish a tag until today!  The challenge this week at The One Little Tag Craft Challenge is water colour.  I had a bit of a head-start with this tag as I created this purple-haired beauty for last weeks purple challenge, but didn't get a chance to use her.  Well, I just happened to use water colours to create her, so guess what...!  She was created using a Penny Black stamp.  I used some Jane Davenport water colours and pencil crayons..  I created a couple of water colour background sheets for her dress and the tag background.  I had fin with those!  I dropped in all kinds of different water colours, including some metallic and just let them basically do as they pleased.  And now I have a few extra tag backgrounds left over as well!

I stamped her dress onto the paper I created and cut it out.  I stamped my favourite flourish stamp in gold ink onto the background.  It is so hard to pick up in photos, but there is a lot of shimmer on this card.  There is metallic watercolour in her dress and in the background, as well as the gold s metallic inked stamp.  I had some fin embellishing her dress and   giving her a choker.  I usually like to add a word or phrase to my tags, but there wasn't anything that popped into my head for this tag.  I may leave her a she is, or add something later if I am inspired.

I hope you enjoyed todays tag, I enjoyed creating it.  Thanks so much for stopping by!

A new Love tag for #onelittletag

Hello!
Here is today's tag.  Still based on the "Love" challenge on tthe One Little Tag Craft Challenge FB group.  This tag was inspired by the Tim Holtz "Clippings Sticker".  I used a Recollections heart punch to punch a mask.  I use low-tac shelving vinyl as masking.  I positioned it on my tag, used some washi tape to create a horizon line and used a few different distress inks to create my background, blending in from the sides to leave a lighter area in the centre as the reflection of the moon.  I punched the moon out of some papers I had sprayed the first week in January to create some backgrounds.  I used my Spectrum Noir to add some shimmer. I added some shimmer to the water as well and to add a halo around the moon.  That didn't work out exactly as I would have liked, but I continued on.

I used some Penny Black stamps to create the foliage silhouette. Using some black glitter paper, I used  a punch from my stash for the dragonflies and a memory box die for the fairy (I love fairies!).  I added the Tim Holtz sticker and then mounted the tag to a black glitter paper backing.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look, I hope you enjoyed todays tag.  I have a few more ides, so there may be another tag today, so pop back if you are interested.

Cheers!

"Peace" Another Christmas card in my series based on the #onelittletag colour challenge

Hello my friends!  Welcome to my final (so far!) Christmas card in a small series i am doing based on a colour challenge inspired by Jenny Barnett Rohs and her FB group called The One Little Tag Craft Challenge   based on the photo below.  She used a colour mixer app to draw a colour scheme from the photo of the pot of fall mums.  I have based this series of Christmas cards on this colour scheme.  I love the fact that these cards don't follow the "traditional" Christmas colours!

I first blended some distress ink on my background.  Then I splattered some water, with a little perfect pearls mixed in, over the inked card.  One of the fun things about distress ink is how it reacts with water.  I die cut my elements out of black card and for this card, I switched up the light tan for gold foil card, to mimic the colour challenge.  I added some Wink of Stella to my black card to give it a little sparkle. I assembled all my pieces and layered my card with the same golf foil card , and then onto a black card.

for this card I used seedless preserves, worn lipstick and shaded lilac distress inks.

I used a  Tim Holtz Sizzix die, a Penny Black die and a Memory Box die for this card

Thank you so much for letting me share this little series of Christmas cards with you.. I hope you have enjoyed them!  If you haven't seen them already,  please check out  the other Christmas cards in this series created using the colour challenge from The One Little Tag Craft Challenge

This is my final post for the day, and the final card in the series, for now!  I can't promise there won't be more later because I am really enjoying this colour scheme.

Thanks again and have an awesome and artful day!

Warmest Wishes Christmas Card using a #onelittletag Colour Challenge

Hello my friends!  Welcome to the next Christmas card in a small series i am doing based on a colour challenge inspired by Jenny Barnett Rohs and her FB group called The One Little Tag Craft Challenge   based on the photo below.

I die cut my elements out of black card and a light tan card, to mimic the colour challenge.  I glued the die cut images together, offset just a touch, to give a highlighted look.  I assembled all my pieces and layered my card with the same light coloured tan card , a black layer and then onto a cream coloured purchased card.

I used wilted violet, picked raspberry, squeezed lemonade and abandonded coral

I used a couple of Impression obsession dies and a Memory Box die for this card

I also used a sentiment from a Penny Black stamps set.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have enjoyed my latest Christmas card!  If you did, please check out  the other Christmas cards in this series created using the colour challenge from The One Little Tag Craft Challenge

Tag 3-11 "Fall Day" #onelittletag"

Tag 3-11 "Fall Day" #onelittletag"
Hi there, thanks for stopping by.
Continuing with our stencil challenge this week.  I used my distress ink to sponge in the background, I used burnt umber gesso through the tree trunk stencil, I mixed red acrylic paint in with some coarse modeling paste and ran it through the leaves section of the stencil. I used that same part of the stencil to scatter some leaves on the ground. I used a Penny Black stamp to stamp the birds. I used the stencil and flipped it over to add the shadow, then mounted the tag to black card

Tag 3-1 Lonesome Tree #onelittletag

Tag 3-1 Lonesome Tree   #onelittletag
Wow, it's March already!  Yay!, almost spring!  A new month, a new week and a new challenge. Our challenge this week is to use watercolours, so this is my attempt at some watercolouring. I was playing around with the them, just some inexpensive ones, trying to be nice and loose and not really knowing what I was doing. This is the result.   I added a couple of Penny Black stamps. I don't mind how it turned out. Watercolour is not generally my medium, but that's the great thing about this challenge, it's the perfect venue to reach outside our comfort zones.

Another Month Finished #onelittletag

Another month of tags finished.  I can't believe that I have kept up!  I haven't done a tag every single day (although most days!)  and I often play catch up, but it is definitely keeping me in the creative frame of mind.  That is the whole point.  I have gotten things out from the back of the shelves and given them a little love, have done some experimenting and all-in-all, have been having a good time.
My own personal goal was to do at least seven cards or tags a week.  Not necessarily one a day, and not even necessarily seven different ones, just seven.  This challenge ( One Little Tag Craft Challenge on FB, for anyone new to my blog) has really kept me on track.  Actually, including the bonus tags and the duplicates, I have created 69 tags so far this year!  Wow!
So I would like to thank those of you who have been following along, and invite those of you who have recently viewed my blog to join me on my little tag journey of creativity.  AND my journey into blogging, something I have never done before (being as technically challenged as I am, lol)
Thank you and hope to see you here again soon!  If you like what I have been doing, please share! And if you enjoy making tags or looking at tags, you should check out and join One Little Tag Craft Challenge on FB hosted by Jenny Barnett Rohrs of CraftTestDummies.  It is a great group of talented and supportive and super nice people, and you are welcome to join at any time through the year.  I am enjoying it so much!

Tag 2-15 Snowflakes are like Friends #onelittletag

Tag 2-15
Snowflakes are like Friends
Hello and thanks for dropping  in.  For this tag I inked the background with distress ink and splattered with water and with Picket Fence distress stain. I have been wanting to use the Penny Black die that I recently got, I love it. I cut out the trees from some pretty white glitter paper but the photo doesn't do it justice. My sentiment is also Penny Black and a little bit crooked (I think crooked sentiments are almost like a signiture for me, lol) Despite my wonky sentiment, I like the overall feel of this tag and I do like my new die  just could not seem to get a decent photo today, for some reason.
Well, thanks once more, and hope you will pop by again!
