A new Love tag for #onelittletag

Hello!
Here is today's tag.  Still based on the "Love" challenge on tthe One Little Tag Craft Challenge FB group.  This tag was inspired by the Tim Holtz "Clippings Sticker".  I used a Recollections heart punch to punch a mask.  I use low-tac shelving vinyl as masking.  I positioned it on my tag, used some washi tape to create a horizon line and used a few different distress inks to create my background, blending in from the sides to leave a lighter area in the centre as the reflection of the moon.  I punched the moon out of some papers I had sprayed the first week in January to create some backgrounds.  I used my Spectrum Noir to add some shimmer. I added some shimmer to the water as well and to add a halo around the moon.  That didn't work out exactly as I would have liked, but I continued on.

I used some Penny Black stamps to create the foliage silhouette. Using some black glitter paper, I used  a punch from my stash for the dragonflies and a memory box die for the fairy (I love fairies!).  I added the Tim Holtz sticker and then mounted the tag to a black glitter paper backing.

Thanks for taking the time to have a look, I hope you enjoyed todays tag.  I have a few more ides, so there may be another tag today, so pop back if you are interested.

Cheers!

A Truckload of Christmas Wishes Ver. 2 - New Christmas card

Hello again my friends!  As promised, here is version 2.  As I am looking at it here, I think it needs a little something more.  I'm not sure what, perhaps the background needs to be a little darker and with more interest.,  You can barely see the snow falling in the background.  I should be able to fix that fairly easily.  There will be a third card in this series, but it requires a little more assembly and it is way past my bedtime!  Teaser alert- I will be combining with a Tim Holtz die!  I will have it posted in the next day or so.

Thank you again for stopping by!  Have a wonderful and artful day!

A Truckload of Christmas Wishes - New Christmas card

Hello my friends!  A new Christmas card to share today.  I have to admit, I'm not usually one to do a lot of colouring.  With my vision it is very difficult, so I tend to keep it very basic and "rustic".  But I had seen this stamp and die set on-line and I just thought it was so cute, I had to have it.  After I ordered it, I saw it at Michaels (where it had not been a couple of days before, lol)  I was so anxious to receive it, but the truth is, things have been so hectic that I am finally just getting to use it now.  I decided to try a little scene building.  So I got out a few more stamps and dies.

(please excuse the photos, I am having some lighting issues right now)

First I stamped my house and created a mask to cover it while I created a background.  I used Broken China distress ink for my background and splattered it with some Heidi Swapp white Color Shine.  I used some torn paper to create my snow drifts.   I used my Spectrum Noir markers to colour th truck and presents and the house.  The window actually die cuts right out of the truck, but I popped it backed in and added a suggestion of a driver.  I thought a driverless truck would be a little creepy!  I used my snow marker to add some snow to the trees and house.

Once all my colouring and die-cutting was done, I assembled my card.  I added some shimmer with my Wink of Stella.  I mounted the card-face to some patterned paper to vorder it, and then to my card base.

I also cut and coloured a few more trucks at the same time, so I will be posting another card shortly that I have just about finished,  Then there will be another card coming down the pipeline soon.  I feel it makes sense to use your materials while you have them out.  but you don't necessarily have to make them all the same, although mass producing isn't a bad idea, either.  So if you like this card (which I hope you do because it was fun to make!)  Then check back in to see the next version very shortly.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs!

Winter Wonderland II- A secon version of my latest Christmas card

Hello again my friends!  While I had everything out, I thought I would make some more cards.  I didn't have any more of the patterned paper that I used on the first card.  I decided to go with white on white.  I embossed the white card.  I used some distress ink to blend a background and splattered it with some water and Heidi Swapp spray.

Thank you again for stopping by.  I hope you enjoyed my second version of my Christmas card.  This is a card that has several layers, but would still be suitable for making multiples. I would love to know which version you like best!
Have an awesome day!

Winter Wonderland Christmas Card

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed this latest card.  If you like Christmas and holiday cards, make sure to check back in for some inspiration because I will be making more!

A Craft HAUL from SGD and a few more surprises from the dollar store!

Hello my friends!  I received a package in the mail today!  Don't you just love getting packages in the mail? A little early Christmas present to my self that I thought I would share with you!  This box of goodies came from Scrappin' Great Deals, and I have to admit, it was wrapped up much nicer than it looks here when I received it.  I had already dove into it before I thought to make a haul post.  But just barely.  (Notice the yummy Werthers!)

Look at these new Christmas dies that I am eager to put to good use!  I also got some of the new Ranger Enamel Accents!

I got a die for a stamp set that I already had, MFT "Make yourself at Home".  This will be a fun scene-making set.  I also got a new Lawn Fawn stamp "Sprinkled with Joy", which will also be a fun scene-builder.  The matching die is on back order and I can't wait to receive it!
This is the stamp set "Make yourself at Home" that I had previously bought.

A couple of fun stencils, some sunshine and some falling snow.

Then, later today I was at Dollarama and found a few goodies.  I found this stamp set from Inkadinkado for just #3.  Just to give you a perspective, the bottom stamp is 6" x 6".  The top layer of stamps is actually a set of 6 stamps, so I thought that was a pretty good find. I like the images  a lot.

some more K & Company embellishments
Some close-ups.  A nice vintage feel to these.

 And finally, some Prismacolor erasers.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my little haul and you can look forward to seeing some of these items in use soon.  I already have some ideas brewing...
Thanks so much for stopping by, have an amazing day!

"Peace" Another Christmas card in my series based on the #onelittletag colour challenge

Hello my friends!  Welcome to my final (so far!) Christmas card in a small series i am doing based on a colour challenge inspired by Jenny Barnett Rohs and her FB group called The One Little Tag Craft Challenge   based on the photo below.  She used a colour mixer app to draw a colour scheme from the photo of the pot of fall mums.  I have based this series of Christmas cards on this colour scheme.  I love the fact that these cards don't follow the "traditional" Christmas colours!

I first blended some distress ink on my background.  Then I splattered some water, with a little perfect pearls mixed in, over the inked card.  One of the fun things about distress ink is how it reacts with water.  I die cut my elements out of black card and for this card, I switched up the light tan for gold foil card, to mimic the colour challenge.  I added some Wink of Stella to my black card to give it a little sparkle. I assembled all my pieces and layered my card with the same golf foil card , and then onto a black card.

for this card I used seedless preserves, worn lipstick and shaded lilac distress inks.

I used a  Tim Holtz Sizzix die, a Penny Black die and a Memory Box die for this card

Thank you so much for letting me share this little series of Christmas cards with you.. I hope you have enjoyed them!  If you haven't seen them already,  please check out  the other Christmas cards in this series created using the colour challenge from The One Little Tag Craft Challenge

This is my final post for the day, and the final card in the series, for now!  I can't promise there won't be more later because I am really enjoying this colour scheme.

Thanks again and have an awesome and artful day!

Warmest Wishes Christmas Card using a #onelittletag Colour Challenge

Hello my friends!  Welcome to the next Christmas card in a small series i am doing based on a colour challenge inspired by Jenny Barnett Rohs and her FB group called The One Little Tag Craft Challenge   based on the photo below.

I die cut my elements out of black card and a light tan card, to mimic the colour challenge.  I glued the die cut images together, offset just a touch, to give a highlighted look.  I assembled all my pieces and layered my card with the same light coloured tan card , a black layer and then onto a cream coloured purchased card.

I used wilted violet, picked raspberry, squeezed lemonade and abandonded coral

I used a couple of Impression obsession dies and a Memory Box die for this card

I also used a sentiment from a Penny Black stamps set.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have enjoyed my latest Christmas card!  If you did, please check out  the other Christmas cards in this series created using the colour challenge from The One Little Tag Craft Challenge

Another "Merry Christmas" tag Tag # 5-25 #onelittletag

Hello again my friends!  This is my Christmas tag for May.   This catches me up, although honestly, I am enjoying making these Christmas tags.  I have a lot of stuff in my Christmas stash to use up, so I may just keep making them for a bit.
For this tag, I used a Tim Holtz stencil to create the brick background.  I used Barn Door Red and Vintage Photo distress ink.

The door was from my stash, cut using a Tim Holtz die.  It was cut from Recollections shimmer card.  I edged the door with distress ink.  I die cut my sentiment from a new  Yvonne Creations die I recently got.

The wreath and bow were from my stash, also cut from a Tim Holtz Movers and Shapers  die. I alsoe edged these with distress ink.

I punched out a door knob fromf gold card which I also used to create a background layer

After assembling the card I mounted it to black card.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and checking out my latest Christmas tag.  I hope you have been enjoying them.
Have an awesome and artful day!
