Hello again my friends! This is my Christmas tag for May. This catches me up, although honestly, I am enjoying making these Christmas tags. I have a lot of stuff in my Christmas stash to use up, so I may just keep making them for a bit.
For this tag, I used a Tim Holtz stencil to create the brick background. I used Barn Door Red and Vintage Photo distress ink.
The door was from my stash, cut using a Tim Holtz die. It was cut from Recollections shimmer card. I edged the door with distress ink. I die cut my sentiment from a new Yvonne Creations die I recently got.
The wreath and bow were from my stash, also cut from a Tim Holtz Movers and Shapers die. I alsoe edged these with distress ink.
I punched out a door knob fromf gold card which I also used to create a background layer
After assembling the card I mounted it to black card.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and checking out my latest Christmas tag. I hope you have been enjoying them.
Have an awesome and artful day!
Hi Kimberley! Really like this tag! Where did you get the brick stencil? It's really nice! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! That is a Tim Holtz stencil. I'm not sure where I got it, it was either at Scrappin Great Deals, which is a store in Ontario (who does have an on-line store) or at Scrapfest, which is an event that happens in the spring and fall where a bunch of vendors get together in one place and it is heaven for a craft supply junkie like me!. I love a lot of Tim Holtz products, they are artsy and unique, if a little bit pricey!
ReplyDeleteOh brilliant!! I'm really hoping they sell it in the UK! I'm yet to try Tim Holtz products, I'm a little worried about them! Thanks for letting me know!!
DeleteGlad to help! I'm pretty sure they are available in the UK. A little expensive (I find) but some cool products!
DeleteThe die for the door and for the wreath are also Tim Holtz dies!
DeleteOh thank you so much! Hopefully I can find it somewhere! Really appreciate your help! Please don't take this the wrong way, but would you mind checking out my blog, I'd love to have your opinion! :)
