Since I had to finish tag 25, I had all my Christmas stuff out, so I made another Christmas tag ( you can never have too many!). This was one of the fastest tags I have ever made! I used another section of the same sheet I used in the background of tag 25, this already had the 25 printed on it. Again I stamped a gold flourish (I just love that stamp!). I had the believe already cut from gold foil board and in my stash. The dot for the "i" was long gone, but the TH brad worked great. Punched the corners, edged the tag with gold, mounted to red foil card and mounted to black card, DONE. And I like it!

Tag 2-25 Season's Greetings #onelittletag
Tag 25, Christmas time! What a great challenge week to make a Christmas tag. I used some Christmas pattered paper from my stash. I had a whole sheet, but I don't know which pad it was from. I stamped a gold flourish on the paper. I die cut my deer from chipboard and covered it with gold UTEE, and a final coat of Ranger fine gold embossing powder and stamped some music notes into it. I die cut my poinsettias from vellum and g...littered the edges with TH glitter, I foiled my tag with the sentiment, although it's hard to tell in the photo, I used a TH brad in the centre of the flower. I punched the pine branches from green foil card with my new TH punch and I also punched the snowflakes from glitter paper. Added some final bling with some red rhinestones. Punched the corners, mounted to some patterned paper and the to black card. Lots of shiny on this one!

Tag 2-26 Gone Fishin' #onelittletag
This tag is a little out of order. I wasn't quite finished tag 25, but I wanted to get this one done for my friend Neil's 50th birthday.
I sponged on some distress ink in tumbled glass and stormy sky for the water, fading out in the centre for the moonlight on the water. I cut a stencil out of some shelving liner and was going to use my never opened deco foil glue, only to discover that it was dried solid. I tried to use some regular glue and brush it over the stencil, let it dry til tacky and add my foil, but NO GO. So, I punched out a circle for the moon from some glitter paper. I sponged in the sky using the same two distress inks.. I did use a glue pen and foil to add the sparkle to the water. I die cut the fisherman using a Joy Craft die and the cattails using a Spellbinder'ss die. The dragonflies were punched out. I used my silver ink to edge the tag. I assembled the tag and mounted to black card.
I hope he likes it.

Tag 2-24 Let it Go #onelittletag
My slump didn't last long, once I had everything out. I attempted this tag a few different ways and this is the way I liked the best. I used my laser printer to copy my stamped image . I used my laminator and deco foil to foil the balloons and my sentiment. (there is a tutorial on my 3rd post called "Try Something New" that will show how I do this) Then I used distress ink to colour around the balloons to create the idea of a sky. I also used distress ink to sponge in some colour on the balloons. I used a glue pen to add some random dots and foiled those (I'm trying to use my foil in a few different ways). I used my gold ink to finish the edges and mounted to a black tag. I have to say, foiling really picks up all the details that embossing just can't quite achieve.
I used the same process to do the foiling on this tag, I just used a coloured card instead of white. No distress ink on this one.
This tag was pretty much a fail, but I thought I'd share it anyways to show the difference between the foiling and the heat embossing, which I used here.
Thanks for dropping in!
Shiny is the name of the game #onelittletag
Tag 2-23
This weeks challenge is to basically use shiny and glittery and shimmery. Which is fun for me! Where so I begin?
No word today, just a random little piece of abstract art. I finally hit a bit of a slump. I couldn't think of anything to do for my tag. I wasn't too concerned, we've done over 50 tags, it was bound to happen. Actually, I think we should all give ourselves a pat on the back. Whether it's a tag a day, every few days, every week or whenever you can manage, we are all still here being creative. Anyways, as you may know, I love shiny, so not a good time for a slump. So I got one of my distress backgrounds that I had stencilled gold paint on as a start. I had die cut some of those scribbly Tim Holtz circles out of foil card, so I wanted to use them. I got out my deco-foil, but I wanted to try using it a different way, so I layed ddown some tape runner and foiled it. I love the distressed look it created. I finished the edges with some gold embossing powder and assembled my tag. I kinda like how it turned out.
Thanks for stopping by!

Tag 2-22 Hypothetical Questions #onelittletag
Caught up again! Another of my distress ink backgrounds, which I added markings and stamps to, with distress ink and paint. A Dina Wakley stamp and a Deep Red stamp for the quote. I used my Prima Watercolour pencils to colour in the stamped image.

Tag 2-19 All the Stars in the Sky #onelittletag
Last one tonight, I promise! I am playing catch up. I have been pretty busy and tomorrow is another busy day. Going to a painting workshop. Looking forward to it and I should be getting my supplies ready, but I really wanted to get some tags posted before I'm too far behind. I'm a little disappointed with this tag. I like it, but the embossing didn't really come out well and a few things I was trying didn't quite work. But I have had the idea for this tag a while and I will try it again. My 3's are my distress ink background (twisted citron, wilted violet and peacock feathers) and I embossed 3 stamps.
Thanks again for popping by!
Tag 2-18 Cinderalla's Shoe #onelitletag
Tag 2-18
My only 3 on this tag is my background, which is 3 colours of distress ink. I was kind of glad about our "bump" challenge (to use distress ink backgrounds) because I made several distress ink backgrounds all done with 3 colours for the 3's challenge, so that worked out well! This is a
Tattered Lace die that I got with a magazine as a freebee. I have been waiting for this issue, just to get this die (which I love). It is a UK magazine and it seems to take forever for us to get. And I used a little bit more of the white glitter paper I've been using lately

Tag 2 - 17 Eat Cake #onelittletag
3 cupcakes and 3 colours , black white and kraft for the 3's challenge. This tag is inspired by my friend Janet's daughter Rachel, an artist in the kitchen who made a suggestion that I do a cupcake tag.
I didn't want to go too cutsy, I was trying for a more elegant look. I kind of like the way it turned out. I may try another one and add a pop of red stickles for the little cherries, but I wanted to keep to our 3's challenge for this one.

Tag 2-16 Family #onelittletag
Family
Monday was Family Day here and the inspiration for this tag. We have a new challenge this week at #oneluttletag craft challenge. It is a challenge of 3's. I did meet the 3's challenge (I think) I used 3 distress inks in the background and 3 different dies. (the waves, which I've used as snow, are one die and the heart is a punch) and 3 random elements, the stamp, the heart and the black matting

Tag 2-15 Snowflakes are like Friends #onelittletag
Snowflakes are like Friends
Hello and thanks for dropping in. For this tag I inked the background with distress ink and splattered with water and with Picket Fence distress stain. I have been wanting to use the Penny Black die that I recently got, I love it. I cut out the trees from some pretty white glitter paper but the photo doesn't do it justice. My sentiment is also Penny Black and a little bit crooked (I think crooked sentiments are almost like a signiture for me, lol) Despite my wonky sentiment, I like the overall feel of this tag and I do like my new die just could not seem to get a decent photo today, for some reason.
Well, thanks once more, and hope you will pop by again!

Tag 2-14 I Love You
Caught up! This time I used printed paper for the background and an old QuiKutz die for the heart and arrow. Again I die cut an aperture with my die. I sponged some yellow ink on some white card to back up the heart aperture. I used the Tim Holtz Valentines stencil for the words in Picked Raspberry ink. I used some distress ink to do some sponging on the background, I used my PITT pen to do some detailing. The heart is my negative space, tic tac toe = purple, pink & yellow
Happy Valentine's!
Tag 2-13 Let the Wind Carry You #onelittletag
I used one of my disress inked prepared backgrounds. Memory Box bird die, a scrap of paper which I sponged with picked Raspberry distress ink for behind the die cut apeture of the bird. The stamp is from my new Prima Birds stamp set I just got.. My cut out bird is my negative space, I got two lines on Tic Tac Toe - purple, pink & yellow and bird, pink & bling

I got home late tonight so I didn't have time to make a new tag or to even think of a new idea. I'm going to be pretty busy for the next couple of days, but I still wanted to do a tag and not get too far behind. So, I started these the other day but they were not working out for me. I used the mask from my Dylusions stencil and I cut out some hair from some shelving paper to give the image more movement. The paint leaked under the mask and my backgrounds underneath... were too busy. I thought I would try and rescue them tonight. I added some quick outlines (inlines?) with my white gel pen and my black gel pen (PITT pen on one of them). It's kinda messy, but I am deliberately messy when I do that because it's really tough for me to do with my vision, especially quickly! I used my Inkadinkadoo stamp, which is what I had originally intended to do. I edged my tag and my sentiment with my black archival ink. So, I didn't meet the tic tac toe challenge, but I did use negative space. These are definately not my best, but I can live with them. They can't all be our best, right?
I really should be in bed already, so I will say Good Night, and thanks for stopping by!

January Tags #onelittletag
I am a little late in posting this, but here is a photo of all my January tags, less one that I gave to a lovely lady that bought one of my paintings. My Nature tag. After speaking with her, it just seemed to really suit her so I thought it would be a nice thank you.
I can't believe we are at 42 tags and I am actually keeping up! Thanks for letting me share with you.
Tag 2 -11 - A Walk in My Garden #onelittletag
Today I am continuing on with the challenge to use negative space. I first took a white tag and sponged on a distress inked background.
Then I used my Tim Holtz scribbly circle die and positioned it and cut it three times.
I used a stamp set that I got years ago in a sale bin that has various images including stems and leaves to stamp the stems and leaves, but I have no idea what brand it is.
I then took some red patterned paper ( and pink solid for the second tag) and mounted it behind the tag to fill in the holes left from the scribbly circles.
Then I adhered the circles back in their spots, using the negative space to create the flowers. My sentiment is from a Local King Stamps set. Then I mounted it to black card to finish it off.
I have been trying to do more than one tag while I have all the supplies out.
Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed my post. See you tomorrow!

Tags 2-10 The Caterpillar #onelittletag
Today is another 2 tag day. They are very similar, but I wanted to try something different with the negative space.
I used some of the backgrounds I created last week with my colorburst and different sprays (Lindy's and Dylusions)
I used a couple of stamp/die sets and die cut some masks out of low tac shelving paper. I wanted to try one with the stamped image and one without.
I cut out my quote , glued it on and masked it as well with painters tape so it would also be in negative space.
Im still using mothball items (because it's a good idea!) and I pulled out the only two Dylusions paints I have, neither of which I have used before. London blue and Vibrant Turquoise. I painted over everything, did a little stencilling in black ( some positive on my negative, lol)
I pulled away all my masks and added a little something with my white gel pen. I mounted to some black card.
In retrospect, Ithink I could've chosen diferent paint colours, but I wanted to try the Dylusions, and it's not too bad.
Thank you for checking out my blog. Some times I post a little pictorial tutorial, like today, and sometimes I just post the tag of the day. If you enjoy the little tutorials, please let me know and I will post them as often as I can.

Tag 2-9 Snowy Night #onelittletag
I really struggled with this one and I just couldn't leave it alone, it kept getting messier and messier. I'm not sure if I like it or not. One minute I look at it and say, yeah, it's okay, and the next minute I don't like it. When I made my tag 23, I tried out a few different backgrounds, this was one of them. I wiped my distress ink on the kraft mat, sprayed with water and dredged the paper through it. (there is one more backgroung that was very similar to this one and I've done something completely different with it). I used a Stampendous stamp set. The only thing I had used out of it was the birds. It did not start off as a snow scene, but one thing led to another...

Tag 2-8 Write Your Story #onelittletag
Tag 2-8
Just a note to anyone who may be viewing my blog for the first time and doesn't know what I have been up to. I am participating in a FB challenge called The One Little Tag Craft Challenge hosted by Jenny Barnett Rohrs of Craft Test Dummies. The idea is to do a tag a day (or every couple of days, or whatever works) in order to create something every day and keep the creative juices flowing. This week there was an additional challenge which was to use "mothball" items. In other words, bring out those things that have been hidden away for a long time in your stash and give them some crafty love.
Once again, pretty much this entire tag is made up of mothball items. The DCWV paper pad is one I got a few years back and I just love, but have barely used, the typewriter is a Spellbinder's die that I haven't used for well over a year, another G45 sentiment that I haven't used and I dusted off some more Tim Holtz embellishments. Even the twine I dug out from my stash. I have used several things this week that haven't seen the light of day for quite a while. Good challenge!

I Used one of my Gelli print backgrounds. My mothball items are my stamps and my metal butterfly embellishment. I love that stamp of the girl by B Line Designs. That's going to be my personal challenge for the next couple of weeks, use some of my G45 stamps

Tag 2-8 Paint Something Beautiful #onelittletag
So, I thought I had managed to avoid that awful cold that's been going around...WRONG. Hit me like a ton of bricks. So I slept in really late and I didn't feel like getting out of my PJ's all day. I decided to do a tag because I didn't want to fall behind and it was something I could do that didn't require too much energy or leaving the house. I finished this tag ad then I did another...and another...It was so relaxing, I did 5 1/2 tags. So now I don't know if I should just share them all, or be ahead of the game. I'm afraid if I'm too far ahead I'll get lazy I'll lose my tag groove..
Anyways, my mothball items are all the stamps I used, a Penny Black stamp for the funny cat, Prima for the paint splotches and an Impression Obsession wood mounted stamp for my sentiment. one of my distress ink prepared backgrounds, Prima water colour pencil, distress ink and versafine ink
