Tag 4-29 "Inspire" #onelittletag

Welcome to my blog!
This is tag 4-29 of the One Little Tag Craft Challenge I am participating in on FB.  Those of you that have been following along already know that I am still playing catch=up.  I am doing the punch challenge for this tag.  I am still using the same paper pad that I have been recently using for several tags, because it's out and because I really like it!  The Inspire definition is from a Graphic 45 stamp set (Typography)  I like the vintage feel of this tag.

Thanks for joining me!  Have an awesome day and if you enjoyed my tag, check back soon for another new tag!

Tag 4-30 "All You Need..." Punch Tutorial #onelittletag

Hi, welcome to my blog!  The latest challenge on the FB tag challenge I have neem doing (One Little Tag Craft Challenge) is punches.  I love punches because they are quick and easy, but I have never tried punch art.  So I searched around a bit and got some ideas.  This one was insprired by Dawn at Dawnsstampingthoughts.net. I put my own spin on it and used the punches that I had and I LOVE how this little guy turned out!
All the paper I used is from one pad that I had out from doing my owl tag.  (It's an oldie, but I really like this paper)

Her are all the pieces and punches I used

There are a few pieces I did some that I cut a bit as well.  Two of the smallest ovals that I used for the back paws I put back to back and trimmed the ends as indicated. then drew in an indication of paws.  I put them back to back to make sure I had a right and a left.  I folded one of the smallest ovals in half and cut it as indivated for the front paws, and drew in a few lines to indicate the paws.

Keep the little piece that is trimmed off the bottom as a tail!
Next, I inked the edges of all the pieces and drew in the whiskers and a little smile.  You don't have to ink the edges, but if you do take the time to do it, I think it makes a big difference in you finished piece.

I added a few highlights on his eyes and nose with a white gel pen.
I dug out some of my Graphic 45 stamps (It's Raining Cats and Dogs) and picked out a few sentiments.

I decided he need a little grass to stand on , and got out another Fiskers punch

I punched out my sentiments, chose one, inked the edges and assembled my tag.  I used a Stabillo All pencil to shadow my images.

I'm really happy how my first attempt at punch art turned out, he's so cute!  I Hope you enjoyed my little tutorial and will give it a try.
Thanks for loining me today, have an awesome day!

Tag 4-6 "The best is yet to come" #onelittletag

Tag 4-6 - The best is yet to come #onelittletag

I put this one together fairly quickly. Things have been kinda crazy here, but I wanted to make a tag. I used a distressed background that I already had. The stamp is a Graphic 45 one that I like but haven't had a chance to use. I printed out the message. This weeks challenge is to include birds or a bird in our tag.   I have done several tags with birds in them, so I decided to put a different spin on it. This is pretty monochromatic as well, that wasn't my plan, but that's how it worked out.
Thanks again for stopping by!

Tag 3-24 "If Music be the Food of Love" #onelittletag

Tag 3-24 #onelittletag
Okay, back in the saddle.  I missed the acrylic challenge with One Little Tag Craft Challenge, but I am going to do a few at some point, just because I like acrylics.  This weeks challenge is MONOCHROMATIC.
so, for the monochromatic challenge. I used "Picked Raspberry" distress ink for all the sponging, stamping and stenciling. I had to add my white splatters, though. I used my new Graphic 45 Enchanted Forest stamps that just arrived today!

Tag 2-19 All the Stars in the Sky #onelittletag

Tag 2-19
Last one tonight, I promise! I am playing catch up. I have been pretty busy  and tomorrow is another busy day. Going to a painting workshop.  Looking forward to it and I should be getting my supplies ready, but I really wanted to get some tags posted before I'm too far behind. I'm a little disappointed with this tag. I like it, but the embossing didn't really come out well and a few things I was trying didn't quite work. But I have had the idea for this tag a while and I will try it again. My 3's are my distress ink background (twisted citron, wilted violet and peacock feathers) and I embossed 3 stamps.
Thanks again for popping by!

Tag 2-8 Write Your Story #onelittletag

Tag 2-8
Just a note to anyone who may be viewing my blog for the first time and doesn't know what I have been up to.  I am participating in a FB challenge called The One Little Tag Craft Challenge hosted by Jenny Barnett Rohrs of Craft Test Dummies.  The idea is to do a tag a day (or every couple of days, or whatever works) in order to create something every day and keep the creative juices flowing. This week there was an additional challenge which was to use "mothball" items. In other words, bring out those things that have been hidden away for a long time in your stash and give them some crafty love.
Once again, pretty much this entire tag is made up of mothball items. The DCWV paper pad is one I got a few years back and I just love, but have barely used, the typewriter is a Spellbinder's die that I haven't used for well over a year, another G45 sentiment that I haven't used and I dusted off some more Tim Holtz embellishments. Even the twine I dug out from my stash. I have used several things this week that haven't seen the light of day for quite a while. Good challenge!
